No matter if your musical tastes vary, you can move to almost anything: hip-hop, salsa, swing, Brazilian, Caribbean, Indian, and on and on.

Plus, it's a great activity to do with friends, or even by yourself in your own home. Pump that music and break a sweat!

Great For Your Lungs And Heart

Dancing is not only a terrific way to you to keep your lungs and heart healthy, but the more you do, the better you'll find your breathing will be.

This is because when you work your body with consistent movement, it promotes the body to produce more oxygen rich blood. When this blood filters through your lungs and heart, your body responds positively.

Since your heart is a large muscle, when you are work it like you do when you are dancing, you keep it strong.

Many dance studios now incorporate it as an aerobic class as well, if taking group classes is your thing. Some are choreographed, while others are more freestyle. Figure out which one you'd prefer before enrolling. A lot of classes let you watch the first one to get a feel for it.
